Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform functions related to monthly fiduciary activity: batch process control; P/F transfer of income; credit interest; monitor balances greater than $1400; fiduciary credit interest; monthly applies income transfer; monthly close.
- Perform functions related to resident fiduciary responsibilities: monitors pre-need funeral contracts; miscellaneous billings; analysis of account activity.
- Monitors census for deceased residents and processes paperwork to initiate closing of estates.
- Interact with Accounts Receivable staff and assists in obtaining necessary information to ensure uninterrupted T-19 status.
- Records cash deposits and cash withdrawals from resident’s accounts and reconciles the cash draw and checkbook daily.
- Conduct billing for resident/patient accounts for special purchases including clothing, telephone charges, guest meals and newspapers.
- Process batches for haircare, interest and gift shop on a weekly and or monthly basis.
- Send out monthly personal funds statements.
- Process notification bills for personal funds deficit accounts.
- Open, monitors and closes resident/patient bank accounts.
- Communicate effectively and tactfully with residents/patients recognizing their age, needs and abilities. Assure prompt resolution to questions or issues presented by resident/patients and other family member
- Performs others duties as deemed necessary by the Facility Business Manager. Such as Census back-up. Uploading all documents into the Misc tab in PCC. Understanding the DSS process for Medicaid pending and working with our contracted outside agencies and Attorneys. Help with processing Medicaid renewals for our Long Term Care patients and Boarding Home residents.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: High School Education
Experience: 2-3 years working in banking, accounts receivable or related financial functions.
Key Competencies: Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills, detail oriented, ability to handle multiple tasks. Ability to deal diplomatically with residents and families. Proficient computer capabilities.
