Exempt - On-Call - Assisted Living/Memory Care
Assists in providing leadership, direction, and administration of operations to Masonicare at Ashlar Village Assisted Living (Pond Ridge) community to ensure compliance with established objectives and the realization of quality and economical management. Maintain hands on relationships and communication with residents in an atmosphere of trust and mutual respect. Drives sales and occupancy goals for the community.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Strives daily to exemplify Masonicare's mission, vision, values in action, and to remind other staff of the commitment to residents that is embodied in those values, both by word and by deed.
2. Manages employees through subordinates, usually other managers. Establishes performance goals, allocates resources and assesses policies for direct subordinates.
3. Serves as a resource for co-workers. Communicates with other levels of management on a regular basis for planning and coordination. Conducts ongoing department meetings to help staff remain aware of concerns of an aging population, to help develop better problem solving and situational crisis skills and to help integrate Masonicare's value system into daily work life. Maintains an open-door policy to staff and residents of all levels.
4. In partnership with sales, ensure that occupancy goals are met at Pond Ridge.
5. Meets with all new residents to review residency agreement and ensure the transition is satisfactory to the new resident.
6. Ensure resident satisfaction is monitored, through satisfaction surveys, and improvement plans are developed to address the needs of the residents
7. Collaborates with clinical leadership team to develop and implement cost effective and patient focused staffing models. Monitors efficiencies of staffing models and levels of care as census fluctuates.
8. Work with key staff across the continuum to ensure transitions of care are meeting the needs of the residents.
9. Assist in maintaining established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, quality assessment and improvement programs, and safety, environmental and infection control standards. Keeps required documentation up to date.
10. Represents Masonicare in its relationship with key town stakeholders, donors, other retirement or assisted living communities, organizations, groups and government agencies. Serve as the face of Masonicare to the business community and the community at large, including participating in civic organizations and Chamber of Commerce.
11. Ensure compliance with all quality indicators and appropriate board reporting.
12. Assist in developing and managing capital and operating budgets, allocates funds and ensures that the community operates within the budget.
13. Takes on-call as needed for the community.
14. Informs and advises key leadership of Masonicare regarding current trends, problems, and activities in healthcare to facilitate policy making decisions. Assist in updating long-range plans which support the institution's philosophy and general objectives.
15. Ensures compliance with CCAC regulations governing accreditation and state regulations for assisted living.
16. Maintains professional growth and development through seminars, workshops, and professional affiliations to keep abreast of latest trends in field of expertise.
17. Performs other duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or other related fields
Experience: 3-5 years Senior Living Management experience. Senior Living operational experience preferred.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Various Senior Living certification preferred
