Day Shift / 40hrs/wk
Responsible for analyzing and preparing monthly journal entries, accounts analysis, and financial reports.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepares and documents monthly journal entries.
- Prepare the monthly financial statement package, which includes but not limited to financial statements, statistical reports and operations summary. Prepare financial package to be included in the Board of Directors packages.
- Maintains Documentation of Fixed Assets and Budgets and provides to Administrators
- Performs month end closing of fixed asset in CIP
- Provide Monthly Balance Sheet analysis
- Provide Accounting support for GENM consulting
- Maintain debt schedule and schedules for covenants
- Provide Financial reporting as requested for all affiliates including but not limited to the following:
Actual to Budget comparisons
Financial variance analysis (actual & budget)
- Reconciles bank statements on a timely basis, identifies and resolves differences.
- Assists in preparation of work paper schedules for annual audit process, provides information for annul cost report and aids in analysis and responses to Medicaid and Medicare Audits.
- Maintains records and prepares annual filing for unclaimed property.
- Prepares and files annual property tax filings with local towns and cities.
- Investment accounting entries and associated schedules
- Entrance Fee Accounting Coordinating Actuarial Obligations
- Reviews Financial Applications for Independent and Assisted Living
- 990 tax return completion for all tax exempt organizations 5227 for trusts and 1041’s for estates and trusts
- Preparation and Review of Bank Debt Service Compliance
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business-related field
Experience: 5 or more years of Healthcare accounting or finance experience
