EIGHT-WEEK COURSE BEGINS IN MARCH
Masonicare, Connecticut’s largest non-profit healthcare provider for seniors, is partnering with Naugatuck Valley Community College to offer a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) training program.
CNAs are valuable members of the healthcare team, providing basic care to patients and assisting them with activities of daily living. This includes observing patients’ conditions, recording vital signs, and providing help with dressing, grooming, exercising, and feeding. CNAs are in high demand!
Ten applicants will be chosen to go through the CNA training course, held on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday evenings from March 3, 2025 to April 17, 2025 (date of State Certification Exam). Classroom instruction will take place at Naugatuck Valley Community College in Waterbury, CT, with lab/clinical locations to be determined. Masonicare will pay all course fees (a $2,000 value) in exchange for a two-year commitment to work for us as a full-time CNA at Masonicare Health Center in Wallingford, CT.
Minimum requirements:
- Students must be at least 16 years of age by the start date of class, and if under 18, a parent/guardian must complete a liability waiver for them to participate in clinical rotations.
- Completed health form, signed by your physician
- Proof of COVID-19 vaccination, including booster
- Reliable transportation to clinical sites
- Criminal background check (may be required)
