Evening Shift - 11.25 hours per week
*Will have additional available hours weekly. Work as much or as little as you'd like*
The receptionist greets, assists and directs visitors, residents and other callers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program and safety standards.
2. Provides assistance, guidance and direction to visitors and residents. Ascertains the nature of their business; assists and/or directs visitors and residents to various locations in the community when appropriate. Calls for an escort when necessary.
3. Receives messages, flowers, newspapers and other items and notifies appropriate personnel. ; delivers or arranges for the delivery of items to residents and appropriate personnel.
4. Maintains files on resident’s requests for meal service as well as other needs. Maintains directory and files on current residents, their locations, status and other pertinent information according to established procedure.
5. Assists in care and maintenance of department equipment and supplies.
6. Participates in educational programs and inservice meetings; attends meetings as required.
7. Handles all incoming emergencies through Call-for-Aid System. Notifies and directs appropriate personnel.
8. Serves as “hand holder” to upset residents. Also serves as “front of the house” eyes and ears, reporting issues of importance to the Director on duty.
9. Schedules resident transportation requests in to Meditech
10. Inputs maintenance and housekeeping work orders into Meditech
11. Maintains Outlook calendar for guest room reservations
12. Fills in as needed for Administrative Assistants
13. Sorts and distributes all incoming correspondence
14. Assists staff with administrative duties and requests
15. Receives in daily prescriptions from pharmacies
16. Inputs and prints maintenance/housekeeping work orders. Schedules and input transportation requests.
17. Complete monthly resident anniversary cards and weekly mailing of verbiage to board members.
18. Keeps reception area neat and clean in view of all guests.
19. Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education: High School or equivalent
Experience: Reading and writing skills
